Seeking Truth? ©

You've come to this website for information on spiritual questions. Consider the most important questions of all: Who or what is Truth? Are you accountable to this Truth?

Know this: Truth is not a thing or an idea or a belief. Truth is not temporal or regional or optional. Truth is a person. Truth is Jesus Christ, God Incarnate.

Jesus Christ created you. One day He will judge you. If, in this life, you are born into Him, in eternity you will appear before Christ at His Judgment Seat. Your deeds (works) done for His glory in this life will be tested. For all eternity you will be rewarded based on the tested value of those deeds. But If, in this life, you are not born again (John 3:3,5,7), you will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. For all eternity you will grieve and suffer for your unforgiven sin, having been separated from your Creator and Savior by your failure to bend your knee to His Supreme authority.

Contrary to the enemy's lies retold by many who are deceived, you will not cease to exist after your body dies. (This is a false teaching variously described as soul sleep, annihilation, or Nirvana. An erroneous concept deceives many to believe that when their brain dies, their mind and being cease to exist. This is the enemy's subterfuge). Your spirit and soul will consciously exist for eternity. You will experience the second death in hell if you have not experienced the second birth in this life. Neither will you be reincarnated after your death. Each soul is appointed only ONCE to DIE. "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment…" (Heb 9:27)

After your certain physical death Jesus Christ will examine your life to determine if you are justified to be in His presence. If you are not found in Him you will continue to consciously exist for eternity according to His declaration that He knew you not. (Mt 25:12, Lk 13:27)

The True and Living God delegates to His Only Son, Jesus, the judgment and disposition of all who ever live. Jesus Christ does not 'grade on the curve'. He will not permit you to 'repeat the course of life' to improve your grade and standing. Are you ready now for what you will hear and experience in eternity when you will be judged by your Maker?

At the moment of death it will matter nothing where, when or how you were born; whether you grew up in wealth or poverty; whether you received an education or achieved a certain goal or married a certain person. It will not matter whether you made a name for yourself or whether you were ashamed of your name. These are all temporal circumstances. In no way do these things determine or affect your eternal existence. There are many risks, gambles, choices and decisions you can afford to ignore in this life. But there is only one reality that matters as you transition from life on this earth to eternal existence: Are you in Christ Jesus, the only ark of safety? Does the One True and Living God know you? Has He engraved your name in the Lamb's Book of Life? Have you truly received His Son as your Savior and King?

At this very moment you can forever know your eternal abode, resting in the certain knowledge that you are passed from spiritual death to eternal life. But you must surrender your mind and heart. You must believe that your sin separates you from the Most High and Holy God. You must believe that the God of the Bible provides the Only Way to bridge your separation from Him to eternal life with Him. You must believe that God allowed His Only Son to die in your place, to take your punishment instead of punishing you for your deeds in the flesh. You must ask to receive Jesus' gracious and loving substitute death as your justification when you stand before Him in eternity. You must rely on nothing else for your righteous standing before Almighty God. This must be your prayer.

When you call upon the Name of the Lord Jesus, whether audibly, or silently, in the quiet of your heart and mind, He hears you. He has been waiting since eternity past for you to acknowledge your need for Him and desire to live with Him forever.

If this is the moment prepared by the Holy Spirit for you to receive Truth, to receive Jesus as your God and Savior, you will finally understand your need; you will finally know how to respond; you will finally know what to say. You will surrender your life to Him. Do this now. You will be joined with me and other members to Christ's Body. King Jesus wants nothing from you but your life. Surrender now to pass from certain death to eternal life.

It is good to share your rebirth with someone who cares and understands, someone who will pray for your spiritual growth. Contact me or someone who is a fellow Christian. May God's richest blessings touch your life. May you be strengthened in your walk. Study and memorize your Bible. Pray daily and tell others of your love for your Savior, Brother and King, Jesus.

What Is The Gospel?

True Religion

William Barclay wrote in his commentary on Hebrews: "…there have been four great conceptions of religion…"

“To some men religion is inward fellowship with God.  It is a union with Christ so close and so intimate that the Christian can be said to live in Christ, and Christ can be said to live in him.  That was Paul's conception of religion.  Religion to him was something which mystically and mysteriously united him with God."

"To some, religion is that which gives a man a standard of life and a power to reach that standard.  Religion is the law for a good life, and the power to keep that law.  On the whole, that is what religion was to James and to Peter.  It was something which showed what life ought to be, and which enabled them to make life what it ought to be."

"To some men religion is the highest satisfaction of their minds.  Their minds seek and seek, until they find that they can rest in God.  It was Plato who said that "the unexamined life is the life not worth living."  There are some men who must understand or perish.  Their minds must be satisfied.  On the whole, that is what religion was to John.  The first chapter of John's gospel is one of the greatest attempts in the world to state religion in a way that really satisfies the mind."

"To some men religion is access to God.  It is that which removes the barriers, which takes away the estrangements, and opens the door to the living presence of the living God.  That is what religion was to the writer of the Letter to the Hebrews."

True religion is certainly all of these.  And divinely revealed truth, recorded in the Holy Bible, is the only source of this true religion.

Ministry Belief Statement

Any ministry can justify their service in the Name of Jesus Christ only on the basis of their correct understanding and application of Scripture. Documents describing this basis are variously titled Statements of Belief, Faith or Doctrine, depending on content scope and Scripture reference.

M. J. Greene's faith sources to the gospel of grace alone. That can be stated in a short, five point summary. But that short Statement does not explain additional legitimate beliefs sourced to the full spectrum of biblical revelation. Conversely, long doctrinal statements are broader and must list, point for point, texts that reference each doctrine. Therefore, an intermediary Belief Statement offered here covers more than a five point statement but less than a footnoted doctrinal statement. After her study of nearly 300 Statements over five years, M. J. Greene encourages members of the Body of Christ to research and complete their own Statements of Faith, Belief or Doctrine.

The foundational criteria, no matter the form of the Statement, is this: The Statement can omit a certain truthful point and still be credible (unless the omission regards points of the non-negotiable gospel), but the Statement must not include any false statements in order to be a credible Statement. Ministry Purpose

The purpose of this ministry is to positively impact and serve all readers so they will respond to the material offered here.

Each visitor to this site will be impacted at one of four levels of response:

The Natural Man Responds to 2 Cor 13:5

If your condition is that of the natural man (1 Cor 2:14) this ministry may serve as a lighthouse beacon to draw you to consider your personal accountability to biblical truth. It is God, the Holy Spirit who convicts each of us of our certain spiritual need to be made alive in God the Son who is Christ Jesus. If you sense this Holy Spirit conviction please read "Seeking Truth?" located elsewhere on this site. God's Word calls each of us to examine ourselves whether we possess saving faith (2 Cor 13:5). Spiritually lost souls are commanded to "…turn to God from idols to serve the living and true God…" (1 Thess 1:9). This Living God, the Creator of the universe, is a jealous God. He does not share His glory with any other. It is my prayer that you will not leave this site until you examine yourself in light of saving faith, and, if convicted of your natural, lost condition, will turn to God from idols, receiving Christ Jesus as your sole justification before God, the Father. You will pass from certain death to life eternal. Should you choose to ignore the salvific truth reflected on this website, continuing in your unregenerate state, this ministry will serve in eternity as a reminder to you of the many opportunities offered you in this temporal life to be pardoned from eternal separation from your Creator, thus justifying the punishment reserved for all Christ rejecters.

The Examined Life Responds to 2 Tim 2:15

For the examined soul, submitted to Christ Jesus' authority, born again according to John 3:3,5, and 7, this ministry may serve as a floodlight shining on your professed spiritual beliefs and practices. Accurate knowledge of God's Word, properly orientated to His truth is necessary to maximize your earned eternal rewards. Primary in that orientation is agreement with 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." If you are not familiar with "rightly dividing the word of truth" please read "A Short Primer on Right Division©" located elsewhere on this website. Each saved soul is examined in eternity for personal knowledge of the full counsel of God. Elucidation of biblical truth, compared to refuted spiritual error is the intended effect of the research and writing posted on this website.

The Carnal Servant of Christ Responds to 2 Cor 6:14-18

The positively examined soul, accurately handling God's Word, is further exhorted to separate from moral and spiritual filth in 2 Cor 6:14-18, as declared by the Apostle Paul. Blood bought, born again, Spirit filled saints have no identity or purpose in the carnal things of this world, nor the darkness, the uncleanness of the father of lies. This ministry may serve as a microscope for use by confessing saints to closely examine the details of their beliefs and practices that may reveal they are unequally yoked to the spotted world systems and beliefs. Separation is the rewarded walk for true followers of Christ Jesus in order to found unspotted when Christ receives His Body according to 1 Thess 4:13-18. The Mature Believer Responds to 1 Cor 1:31 (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Finally, this ministry may serve to encourage mature believers in Christ --those whose lives are positively examined; who accurately handle God's Word; and who endeavor to separate from the spotted world --to further obey the Word's command to glory only in the cross of Christ (1 Cor 1:31, referencing Jeremiah 9:23-24), a deeply difficult challenge in this idol-saturated world. Some postings on this website may be interpreted as dogmatic, intimidating and uncomfortable to agree with due to the intensity and probing nature of the search light that exposes idols that compete for loyalty to Christ alone. This site challenges the reader to identify and break some of the most deeply coveted and protected idols that are aggressively and shamefully wed to professed allegiance and loyalty to Christ Jesus. The eternal result of breaking those idols and purging one's life of their influence will be increased reward at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Don't Believe in the Rapture? ©

A topic that evokes either agreement, anger, confusion or disbelief among professing believers is whether or not 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 reveals an immanent, literal, secret, miraculous removal of Christ's Body or whether the text is spiritualized (along with 1 Cor 15:53) to mean this change will occur simultaneous with Christ's Second Coming. Before we can come to the conclusion about the Rapture's timing, we must examine a common resistance. There are those who have no objection to the teaching except for the fact that they simply can't 'imagine' how this could happen. They can't believe their body (and disintegrated bodies in graves) can suddenly change in form and location. The truth of the matter is this: most professing Christians simply cannot believe this is possible. Therefore, they discount the Bible's clear teaching. But these people are Doubting Thomas's, materialists and just plain Scoffers! None of these people will receive a crown for looking for their Lord in the air.

Any reader who desires to know HOW to understand this most unusual concept (a concept almost as difficult to visualize as HOW the triune God exists) I would like to suggest you begin to think about two undisputed realities that should change your thinking. First, consider your physical conception and second, your spiritual rebirth. If you analyze both those realities you can understand and believe HOW you will experience instant change in being and location (change in time and space) at the Rapture, and you won't have to agree with Hollywood fiction depicting planes falling from the sky or those left behind running wild in the streets realizing they are left behind.

Question: Who was party to, aware of, cognizant of your conception in your mother's womb? Who had first hand, eye witness awareness of the start of your life? If you think about you'll have to admit that not a living soul was cognizant. No one, including your mother had any evidence of your existence. Yes, she may have hoped and prayed that conception had just taken place, but she had no way of knowing for sure, often for several weeks (even today several days are required.) Even without this fact, you, certainly existed in a micro-second, when one second before your conception, you did not exist. Only your Creator was cognizant and participating in your conception. The same applies to the moment you were born again spiritually. You believed there'd been a change in form and location of your eternal soul. But there was no physical evidence of that change in spiritual fact. You continue to believe you will open your eyes in heaven in the next life. This is exactly how to understand your future translated being, whether you rise from the grave or you suddenly leave this earth and begin eternity with your Lord. It is no more irrational to believe in the future certain change in your form and location at the Rapture than it is irrational to believe in your physical conception or spiritual rebirth.

Wake up Scoffer! Stop thinking the Rapture can't happen! Read the following tract Strong Evidence or Strong Delusion© to understand WHY it is false to believe any other timing of this next event on the prophetic calendar except the Pre-Trib timing. It is not Pre-Wrath or post-Trib or no Rapture or Rapture that is simultaneous with Christ's Second Coming that is true. None of these are taught by the Bible. A Short Primer on "Right Division" ©

In 2 Timothy 2:15 the Apostle Paul writes, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." This doctrine has come to be known as "Right Division". In its clearest meaning "rightly dividing" is correctly interpreted as "accurate handling" of the Word of God. To their loss of reward, there are those, even with good intentions, who misunderstand and misapply God's Word, failing to rightly divide the word of truth. Reformation or Transformation?

Those who claim we must "qualify salvation" by others seeing observable standards of repentant behavior in a saved soul believe that redemption is conditional. But it is the standard of God’s grace that determines, qualifies and conditions salvation. Membership Does Have It's Privileges
But Allegiance Has It's Own Reward ©

Formal church "membership" is a tradition of men. We are called to forsake and repent of such traditions (Mark 7:8, Col 2:8). Although, if one desires the status and privileges afforded by 'official' membership in a local fellowship, Christian liberty allows for this practice unless one's professed membership is based on false beliefs (1 Cor 10:29, 2 Cor 3:17, Gal 2:4, 5:1,13, James 1:25, 2:12.) The weightier issue is one of biblically defined allegiance. Rewarded allegiance is exclusive to life in Christ Jesus, which is a spiritual reality. Those who have received Jesus as their Savior are commanded to fellowship with and serve in Christ's Body. But the practice of invoking and tracking formal church membership is the invention of men. The matter of 'moving one's letter' when 'joining' a new fellowship is a carnal extension of that carnal invention (1 Cor 3:1-4). Either one's name is or is not permanently engraved in the Lamb's Book of Life (Phil 4:3, Rev 3:5, 20:15, 21:27b). This is the "membership" that counts and will be rewarded in eternity.

King James ONLY?

Baptismal Regeneration

Jesus commands us to testify of our faith in Him, giving evidence of our salvation. But if salvation is a spiritual fact, what is the purpose of water baptism? Does the Bible teach souls are regenerated by water baptism?
